CHANGE THROUGH BALANCE
Hi there, I’m Cathy, a yoga teacher and sound practioner. I am passionate about helping people transform through finding balance - firstly, through connecting the body and the soul; secondly, through embracing the dualities of both yin and yang; thirdly through encouraging personal growth in a supportive community.
I have been practising yoga over a decade. Yoga has helped me deepen my awareness of my body as well as my inner self. I found I was healthier, happier and more present with things and people that mattered. I would love to help you on your own physical and emotional journey through yoga.
I teach vinyasa-based yoga classes as well as yin yoga. My classes are designed to be accessible to all levels, and I focus on providing a nurturing but also empowering environment where you can learn and grow.
My Story
fell in love with yoga because it put me into a flow state - physical movement made my body feel good but also created meditative space.
I have been working for 10+ years in fast-paced corporate environments in Hong Kong, London and Singapore. I had grown up moving every few years, studying in 3 different languages and taking on responsibilities from a young age. More recently, I lost a close family member to a sudden diagnosis of severe cancer, only to be followed by my own health scare. Change has been the only constant thing.
Through finding alignment on the mat, I was able to build a deeper sense of connection between my mind, body and soul. This helped me find healing and grounding throughout confronting situations, but also joy as I discovered new boundaries and perspectives. This ebbing and flowing through yoga helped me evolve and is what I am committed to sharing.
I have undergone 500 hours of yoga teacher training in vinyasa and yin and am certified as a Level 1 Sound Medicine Quantum Alchemy Crystal Bowls Practitioner.
I am also a spin and trance-music lover, a traveling foodie and passionate reader, and an obsessed dog-mommy.
My Classes
My classes are designed to be the building blocks of my students’ yoga journey. By focusing on core principles and proper alignment while flowing in a feel-good way, my methods aim to help students refine foundations and develop a strong, stable practice. This empowers students to progress confidently and ultimately achieve a deeper mind-body connection that fosters both balance and well-being.
I am teaching private 1:1 or group classes of 2-5 as well as corporates. I can also tailor on-request classes, programs, events and workshops. My in-person private group classes are designed for all-levels and are incorporate vinyasa, yin, breath work and crystal bowl sound baths. Small classes mean individualised attention to help students get the most out of their practice.
