PREPARATION FOR THE JOURNEY

Food Guidelines 

  • Avoid consuming any alcohol or intoxicating substances 

  • Avoid eating a heavy meal right before your session. Make sure all food is fully digested at least 1.5-2 hours beforehand. 

  • Opt for light and nourishing foods like salads, soups, smoothies, and juices.

  • ⁠Try not to consume caffeine until after the session - unless consuming 3+ hours prior

  • Refrain from consuming refined sugar on the day of your session and ideally reduce it in your diet overall. 

  • You may feel hungry after the session due to increased energy movement. This is normal.

Clothing Recommendations:

  • Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that allows free movement and isn't restrictive around the waist.

What to Bring:

  • Bring your own yoga mat, sleeping pad, or blanket to ensure your comfort during the session.

  • Bring a notebook or journal, a full water bottle, an eye mask, and optionally, a pillow for your knees or anything else that will help you feel more comfortable and supported.

What to Note:

  • Take space for yourself in the hour before our live session, drink some water, make sure you have eaten something (digested 1 hour before), ground in (in nature if you can), set an intention and clear your energetic field.

  • Turn off or silence notifications on your phone. Keep your phone in airplane mode.

Post Breath Care:

  • Don't drive a car/motorbike for at least 30 minutes after the journey.

  • Drink plenty of water- one glass an hour every hour in the following 48 hours post session.

  • Continue to create a container of self-care for yourself, as well as spaciousness for your process.

  • Take time to ground, integrate and re-center. Time in nature/directly on the earth is perfect!

  • Remember that breath medicine may continue to work on you past the journey. Be open to the wisdom of the process and hold the understanding that more may continue to show up in the day/days following. Journaling, mediation, yin/restorative yoga, nature, salt baths, nourishing foods and liquids, etc will all support you in moving through anything that could arise.

  • Keep in mind that healing is not linear and not everything is always resolved in one session. If something surfaces for you to work with in the days to come, be gentle and compassionate with yourself. Be willing to sit with it and be with it to reap its wisdom for greater awareness and integration. Be open and stay curious as whatever is surfacing is showing up for you.

BREATHWORK WAIVER

Please read carefully - by attending the session you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • I realize that Breathwork is a powerful experiential tool for accessing my deeper layers and that it can greatly intensify my transformational process. Through the practice of deep breathing, guidance and music, I will embark on a journey into myself. Because breathwork can potentially bring up intense emotions and strong physical experiencing, I have been advised that it is not recommended for those with certain types of cardio-vascular problems, epilepsy, recent surgery, pregnancy, mental health issues, psychosomatic issues, chronic asthma, chronic disease, infectious disease, other physical limitations or emotional problems.

  • I hereby acknowledge that I have no such problems or conditions as listed above, or any other physical, mental or emotional conditions that would prevent me from participating in a Breathwork immersion. I have fully disclosed my physical, mental and emotional background to the facilitators involved prior to my participation. I realize that all staff, assistants, volunteers and/or support team are here only as a guide to my process and that none of the staff, assistants, volunteers and/or support team are here to replace any form of traditional mental or health treatments. I have spoken with any and all mental and physical health care professionals that I believe would be necessary to ask whether I would be an appropriate candidate to participate in the breathwork process, based on my physical, emotional and mental health history and current condition(s) (if I felt this was necessary). I hereby attest that there is no reason why I should not be able to participate.

  • To this purpose, I voluntarily participate in the breathwork process and release and hold harmless the facilitator(s) and all affiliates for any and all acts of omissions which may constitute ordinary negligence. I accept full responsibly for my own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I further attest and acknowledge that this release is intended and shall apply to my heirs, beneficiaries and assigns.
